No. Supplemental insurance is not designed to replace health insurance — it works alongside the medical coverage you already have. Benefits are subject to policy terms, conditions, approval, and state availability.
When a claim is approved, eligible benefits are paid directly to the policyholder — not automatically to the hospital or doctor — subject to policy provisions.
The policyholder decides. Eligible cash benefits might go toward medical out-of-pocket expenses, household bills, groceries, lost income, transportation, protecting savings, or other financial needs.
Coverage you hope you never need can still hold value. On applicable policies, a Qualifying Return of Premium feature can return eligible premiums paid. Eligibility and provisions depend on the applicable policy, issue age, and state.
